About the EU DPP Registry Coach
A free, independent and vendor-neutral guide to one task: registering a company as an economic operator in the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) Registry.
Why this coach exists
Under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR, Regulation (EU) 2024/1781), only verified economic operators may register Digital Product Passports. The verification itself happens in under an hour on the EU platform — but only if the inputs exist: an EU Login, a qualified electronic seal for the company and register data that matches the seal certificate character for character. Most failed attempts trace back to one of these. The coach separates the national preparation from the EU steps so that nothing is attempted out of order.
Who runs it
The coach is published and sponsored by Narravero GmbH, Münster, Germany, a company that builds a Digital Product Passport platform. The guide itself stays vendor-neutral: it works the same whichever DPP software or service provider you use, and product names (such as D-Trust or Reiner SCT) are examples, not endorsements. Personal help is offered separately via “Hire a Narravero Expert”.
How the content is checked
- Every step is checked against the European Commission’s DPP Registry User Guide for Economic Operators and the legal acts it rests on; the date of the last check is shown on every page.
- The register-court codes for the NTR identifier come from the official XRepository code list “Registergerichte”.
- Practical details (seal cards, readers, middleware, Acrobat settings) come from real registrations.
What it does not do
The coach is not legal advice and not official content of the European Commission. It does not register anything for you and it sends nothing you type into its tools to a server. The registry, your register extract and your seal certificate are always authoritative. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
